Black and blue

I saw these boots in person through a store window a few days ago and they are beautiful.  If only I had the 365 euros ($465 on eluxury where I got the picture, way more if I bought them here and paid in Euros) to spare...  I love Marc Jacobs.  I wish he would be my friend and give me things for free... The blue piping is my favorite part.  Unexpected, a little funky/edgy, so beautiful...

It's really red and silver

(dress, sweater H&M, leggings BP@Nordstroms, Boots Urban Outfitters)
I don't normally think to post what I wear or take pictures of it because I'm really a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, but I really like this dress/tunic that I just got at H&M.  And of course there's the awesome wallpaper in my French bedroom.

Pretty

(photos from InStyle.com, whowhatweardaily.com)
Loove Rachel Bilson, I wish I had her wardrobe.  I love the way her blazers fit and the boots in the middle picture, the wide-leg jeans.  She's just adorable.

Double Vision

(photos from random olsen stalker websites... I'm not creepy, I promise)
I know it's not particularly original to love the Olsen twins, but who cares.  I love the Olsen twins, I can't wait for Christmas when I go home to get my hands on their new book, it sounds pretty awesome.
I love the way they put things together and it's random and yet it goes in an abstract way.  I love that they always look like they just rolled out of bed, yet they ooze style.  I wish I could be an Olsen, partly so I could have the money to afford all the amazing things they have...

Toast

(all from the Shopbop.com lookbook)
Just thinking about winter and pretty accessories and layers and boots.  Yum...  So warm and comfortable looking.
I think in the second two she's wearing leggings, but I can never get my jeans to fit that well and they always bunch up at the knees when I tuck them into my boots.  I guess I need to buy the jeans tighter, or start wearing leggings.

Lusting

(pictures from style.com)

Another collection I’m lusting after is Gucci.  I immediately fell in love with the hippie-boho-folkloric-luxurious-Russian look of it.  The fur accents, the knee high boots, the patterns, the textures!  Wow I wish I had a money tree and could dress myself in Gucci…  I was at Le Bon Marché today and I visited all sorts of amazing designer clothes and bags, including the amazing fringed Gucci bags.

My favorite look this summer was the hippie sort of feel, I know it's a little overplayed now, but I still love it...

I was really glad to see Gucci bring it into the fall.  Again with the layers and the textures and the casual-ness.

Love from Paris

My style tends towards very casual and I lust after the Olsen twins bobo looks (see last post). Part of it’s just because I think it’s awesome, and I think part of it might be rebellion from my über-preppy university, but either way, while I admire people who look so put together and chic all the time, I’m usually super casual.  Paris has been more inspiring to change that philosophy.

Paris inspiration/lust book:

I really love the wide-leg look, I’ve been having trouble finding wide leg stuff that fits right.  I finally bought the Seven Ginger jeans, but I need to get them hemmed.  I’m also not really sure what shoes to wear with them.  I’m not crazy about heels because I walk a lot (especially here in Paris).  My ideas have been sneakers, moccasins, oxfords, cowboy boots, I guess my Frye boots… (Ok, so I guess I do know what to wear with them…)

I also love the dark look from DKNY (the one with the red background).  I love the coat and the skirt and especially the boots… loooove boots.  Sort of goes also with last fall’s 3.1 Phillip Lim and Marc by Marc Jacobs (first two from the right) – the tights and the skirt and the boots.

Also love the entire fall/winter 2008 Diane von Furstenburg collection.  All the retro inspired looks were so elegant and lady-like and amazing:

My favorite is the one in the middle, very possible-feeling, love the menswear inspiration, I just need a great blazer and some amazing pants like hers.

I also love the skirts, but other than the multi-colored skirt they feel a little old or professional for me, but I imagine I could adapt them somehow.

The End of an Error

I'll save the political messages, but THANK GOD...

Current inspiration/lust book above.

Loooove the way the gray t-shirt fits on the Olsen (I love the Olsens, but I can never tell them apart – although, when Mary-Kate’s not blonde and they’re together it’s easier) and Rachel Bilson’s jeans.  I love the colors from Matthew Wiliamson’s look and the boots and tights.  The Shopbop look in the lower right corner is an awesome rock and roll look and I love the layers in the two Sartorialist pictures in the top (second and third from the right).    I have to apologize if this Chictopia user ever sees this, I don’t remember her name  but I looove her sweater-dress and tights.

I so wish I had a money tree...
